Frequently Asked Questions...
what is the difference between taekwondo, jiu-jitsu and judo uniform?
Can anybody explain me the difference between these uniforms, all these uniforms subject to be same. I think all are made in same fabric and even same patterns. So why they are selling as different types?
I am confused
Answer:
Tae Kwon Do: Light Cotton Gi that allows for mobility and makes a crisp "pop" sound when strikes are thrown. The belt typically goes around the waist once.
Jiu Jitsu: (Brazilian) Semi-Dynamic Gi that allows some give, but is more resilient to grappling because of a denser thread count and overall better sewmanship. Often times the belt is not worn in competition.
Judo, Karate, and Japanese Ju Jitsu: Static Gi that allows very little give, has the heaviest thread count, and can support the weight and force of throws. The belt typically goes around the waist twice.
Sambo: Dynamic Shirt is like the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi, but it has much more elasticity.
