I was thinking about buying the game to lose some weight but it seems expensive, especially for a ds game. I need motivation for exercising and this is perfect.

I think the game is worth $50. I started the program on June 8th and have walked almost a million steps so far. There is great motivation with seeing how far you have walked and there is fun competition competing with over 56,000 walkers around the world on the Nintendo WI FI connection. I am a male and have gone from 212 pounds to 203 since starting the program. There are little incentives too, like I will park farther away in a parking lot to get a few more steps in. It is also a MAJOR wake up call to see how many steps you make in a day. I made around 2 to 3 thousand before starting this program. Now, 10,000 steps is my bare minimum, and I know when I hit this programmable goal because the pedometer blinks green when I hit it.
The pedometer is accurate, even if you don't where the clip. I check the number of steps against the miles on my treadmill and they are right on with each other.
